Toyota book earns national distinction

David Magee's How Toyota Became #1 has been named a Top Ten Business Book in 2008 by Booklist (the American Library Association).

The national honor, by one of the most respected book trade sources, was made in the November 1 issue of Booklist, a primary source for American libraries. Previously, Magee's Toyota book received a Starred Review from Booklist.

How Toyota Became #1 is re-released from publisher Penguin in paperback October 28.

The book was first publshed in hardcover in November 2007 in America. It is also published in seven languages worlwide, including Japanese and Portuguese.


Jerry Jones, Cowboys book now in stores

David Magee's How Toyota Became #1, published by Penguin/Portfolio, will be published in six languages around the world following the announcement of several recent subsidiary rights sales. Previously, rights for Korean translation were announced. Now the following rights have also been sold:

--Portuguese translation rights for distribution in Brazil to Elsevier Editora Ltda.

--Chinese simplified translation rights sold to Shanghai Translation Pub House.

--Japanese translation rights to Nikkei Inc.

--Indonesian translation rights sold to PT Gramedia Pustaka.

--Thai Translation rights sold to Sumnukpim Eureka Co., Ltd.
